  • Campaign Dates: May 14th – June 28th.
  • Entry Fee: $10 signup fee.
  • Pacing & Scheduling: Games are typically played once a week, though players are welcome to schedule games at their own pace. As the campaign progresses and depending on the number of active players, the limit may increase to two games per week.

  • Renown & Ranks: Your units earn Renown Points through battle, which are used to achieve new ranks along their chosen Path.
  • Forging a Legend: This campaign is about more than just rolling dice; it’s about creating a story and breathing life into a non-unique hero. Players are highly encouraged to continually expand on your warband's narrative as they journey through Thyria. Take the time to create a rich backstory for your General—they are the protagonist of your journey through the blight!

⚖️ House Rules (Gameplay & Conduct)

To ensure the campaign is a great experience for everyone, all generals must abide by the following strictures:

  • Sportsmanship First: Players must be friendly and professional during gameplay. Treat your fellow players with the same professional courtesy you expect in return.
  • Unique Units: Unique heroes are strictly prohibited from your roster unless they are specifically required to field a Regiment of Renown (or Army of Renown).
  • The Favored Warrior: When choosing your opponent's Favored Warrior at the end of a battle, the decision must be made in good faith. Choices must be reasonable based on the unit's actual performance on the tabletop and cannot be malicious.

⚔️ List Building

When mustering your starting roster to enter the Blighted Wilds, you must adhere to the following strictures:

Points & Costs

  • Your starting roster may not exceed 1000 points.
  • You may include units that cost over 300 points.
  • Spearhead Start (new players only): Should you have to start with a Spearhead battleforce, you must use the non-Spearhead warscrolls. This likely includes changes and additions to faction abilities, unit abilities, artefacts, and enhancements.
  • Point Contributions: Units, Battle Formations, Enhancements, and Artefacts that have a matched play point cost will contribute to your 1000-point limit. Manifestations do not cost points.
  • Should your warband start below 1,000 points, with exception to Spearhead starts, the remaining points will not carry over as Glory Points

Units & Regiments

  • The General: You must pick 1 HERO to be your General. They lead the General's Regiment, which can include up to 4 non-HERO units.
  • Additional Regiments: You may include up to 4 additional regiments. Each consists of 1 HERO and up to 3 non-HERO units.
  • Auxiliary Units: Permitted, but beware—the player with the fewest auxiliary units in a battle receives 1 extra Command Point per battle round.
  • Reinforcements: Units can be reinforced in your starting roster (provided their minimum unit size is greater than 1).
  • Unique Units: Strictly prohibited unless they are specifically required for an Army of Renown.

Paths of Glory

  • Your General: Your General begins the campaign with 5 Renown points and the Aspiring rank. They may embark on a Path immediately and choose 1 Aspiring ability from that Path.

  • Armies of Renown: Allowed, but you must follow their specific list-building traits.
  • Regiment of Ghyran: You can create a unique Regiment of Ghyran featuring the destiny point system.
    • Maximum 1 per roster.
    • Your General cannot be in this regiment.
    • Cannot use faction rules or enhancements.
    • This regiment must be proxied with matching (or close-to) models that fit the unit type.

🩸 Battle Sequence

Battles in the Blighted Wilds follow the standard Age of Sigmar sequence, with one crucial addition at the climax of the fight:

  • The Favored Warrior: At the end of the battle, your opponent will choose one of your units as your "Favored Warrior." This is the unit they believe performed the most admirably, heroically, or devastatingly during the game. The Favored Warrior earns extra Renown Points for their deeds.

⛺ Aftermath Sequence

Once the blood has dried and the venomous bogs settle, warbands must manage their resources and secure their forces.

  • Strict Purchasing Limits: You may only purchase a single unit during the Aftermath sequence. You must choose between reinforcing an existing unit or adding a completely new unit to your roster. You cannot do both in the same sequence.
  • Retiring Units: The wilds take their toll. You may retire units from your roster for a refund equal to half their cost in Glory Points.
